In 1987 she obtained her diploma in dance education with distinction from the Royal Academy of Dance in London and lectured at various performing arts schools in the United Kingdom before settling in Hong Kong in 1991. She was the Ballet Mistress for the Hong Kong Ballet from 1992-1995 and has since been a guest teacher there as well as serving as a member of that institute\u2019s Artistic Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Anna\u2019s love of Pilates stems from her early introduction to the method in London as a dance student. Her interest in the field has continued to expand over the years, leading to her partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/flexhk.com\/pilates\/heather-thomas-shalabi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heather Thomas Shalabi<\/a> in the establishment of Flex in 2005. Anna is a 3rd generation classically trained Pilates Instructor certified with Alycea Ungaro\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/flexhk.com\/teacher-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">REAL Pilates NYC<\/a>. Since 2013 Anna has been a Master Trainer for <a href=\"https:\/\/flexhk.com\/xtend-barre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xtend Barre<\/a>, training new instructors throughout Asia. She is a part time lecturer in Ballet at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and is the Co-Director of Flex Studio.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=&#8221;transparent&#8221;
