Then right after their sessions, picture them working out under the guidance of an exercise physiologist.<\/p>\n<p>Are they not too tired? Too sick?<\/p>\n<p>The answer, it seems, is a firm no: \u201cI just know it helped,\u201d reported one breast cancer patient, Natalie, who took part in such a program in Australia in 2016*. \u201cIt helped me bounce back. It helped me get back on my feet quicker, too. Absolutely. It meant everything.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This research was undertaken to see how prescribed exercise could improve the affects of chemotherapy. Anecdotally, all the patients on the program seemed to be getting less of the expected side effects of chemo &#8211; particularly less nausea and fatigue.<\/p>\n<p>Heading up the study was a Professor Robert Newton, who went so far as to say that \u201cThe muscles are producing chemicals, and they&#8217;re actually destroying tumor cells,\u201d ABC news reported at the time. \u201c\u2026if people hit a certain level of physical activity &#8211; which is relatively modest, to be honest &#8211; then they&#8217;ll more than double their chances of surviving their cancer. In other words, they halve their risk of dying\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This program was just one of many more increasingly being undertaken around the world, and not just to help those with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The reason? The word on the lips of every doctor and scientist around the world today is simply <strong><em>exercise.<\/em><\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]How does it help? Basically, physical activity keeps blood flowing steadily to the brain, essential for removing toxic compounds that can cause aging and early death of cells. In fact, medics, researchers and those heading up global health agencies &#8211; for once &#8211; largely agree that exercise REALLY is the silver health bullet we\u2019ve been seeking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take the doctor\u2019s word in so many areas of our lives. However, after a few burpees, I\u2019m already pumped up and anything that was causing feelings of anxiety simply goes away,\u201d Andrea says.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>And any Battle Rope <\/strong>exercise (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=__bv4D7ii_0\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=__bv4D7ii_0<\/a>) has an immediate effect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3.<strong> Plank Jacks<\/strong> also really work \u2013 start in a usual plank, repeatedly jump feet wider than hip width, then back to the original starting position.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; use_row_as_full_screen_section=&#8221;no&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; angled_section=&#8221;no&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; background_image_as_pattern=&#8221;without_pattern&#8221;][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_column_text]\u201cOf course, any other type of exercise (yoga, walking, swimming, running) will also release endorphins, increase energy and positive feelings. Just go for it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet despite government guidelines for the basic minimum amount for better health, many of us continue to ignore these, saying they are too busy.<\/p>\n<p>This happens even when there\u2019s a new headline every day screaming the facts from every news outlet in the world. It seems our inertia gets in the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time you think you\u2019re too tired to exercise, just think about the amount of non-productive time we can all waste in a day,\u201d says Flex director Heather Thomas Shalabi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurn that around into a dedicated exercise program that could add up to five more quality years to your life.
