No leafy greens necessary, although you could chop up some kale or spinach and throw it in if you must.<\/p>\n<p>For those with dietary restrictions, you might be happy to know that the salad is dairy free, gluten-free and potentially vegan-friendly. For the latter, you can just substitute the honey for brown sugar, agave of maple syrup.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cIt still shocks me how good it is\u2026 a feast for the eyes before it\u2019s one for mins<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>INGREDIENTS:<\/h3>\n<p>POPPYSEED DRESSING:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-4 tablespoons honey (VF: agave or maple syrup)<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons white wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li>\u2153 cup olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon white miso paste<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon poppy seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 shallot, roughly chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>BROCCOLI SALAD:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3 \u00bd-4 cups fresh broccoli florets<\/li>\n<li>1 cup cooked quinoa,\u00a0cooled (\u2153 cup pre-cooked) or brown rice<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup dried cranberries or golden raisins<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup sliced walnuts or almonds<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup sunflower seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>DIRECTIONS:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>DRESSING:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine all dressing ingredients in a food processor beginning with 3 tablespoons of honey and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Blend until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Taste and adjust with more honey or salt and pepper as desired.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you prefer your salad with lots of dressing, you can double up this part.<\/li>\n<li>You can use this on other salads too, such as fresh romesco.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Superfood BROCCOLI SALAD:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Steam or boil broccoli.<\/li>\n<li>Combine salad ingredients in a large bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Dress entire salad (if eating within 24 hours; otherwise, keep the two separate, and mix later on).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can opt to add the following to this recipe: grilled chicken, cooked salmon, crumbled bacon or cheddar cheese.<\/li>\n<li>You can go half cauliflower, half broccoli<\/li>\n<li>The salad tastes better after sitting for a while (maximum 24
