That\u2019s when you start seeing true change.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">He qualifies: \u201cI make sure my clients know their bodies, that they don\u2019t hurt themselves. It\u2019s about working the right way, challenging the body without injury. It\u2019s the safest exercise out there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Here are four reasons why you should intensify your Pilates practice:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300; color: #28c1dc;\"><strong>It can level you up from beginner to intermediate in 2 weeks\u2026<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u201cThere is a way a beginner can learn from the ground up \u2013 and do it quickly,\u201d says Heather Shalabi, co-founder of Flex Studio. She says that consciously and consistently working on your Pilates practice creates a flow, which then leads to cardio benefits.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><br \/>\n\u201cBy pushing yourself to learn the sequence of movements and committing it to memory, you\u2019re able to turn the practice into a moving meditation in which you can lose yourself in the body without thinking of choreography,\u201d says Heather. \u201cThis allows you to go deeper into your practice and learn more about \u2018moving well\u2019 rather than simply \u2018doing exercise.\u2019\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><br \/>\n\u201cIntensives are the best way for beginners to really understand why they are doing something,\u201d she adds,\u201d and how it benefits their day-to-day lives.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><br \/>\nThe same applies to learning a language or sport \u2013 the best approach is a total, everyday immersion. There\u2019s a reason why, say, surf camps and ski weeks exist.
